We’re hiring an Electrical/Electronics Engineer to design and develop our automotive products in the areas of Active Safety and User-Experience. This position is located at TCI Bengaluru.

Mandatory Skills:

• Software Architect Knowledge; ISP hardware/SOC suppliers; Image Signal Processing, Camera Systems, Optical Engineering.
• Preferred Qualification: BE/B.Tech. ME/M.Tech, Preferably – PHD

Job Description:

Your Role

As  Image Signal Processing  product architect you will have responsibilities spanning various aspects of ISP system including:

• Work with ISP hardware/SOC suppliers, Aptiv software and hardware teams to map algorithms into well-defined architectures that may be implemented in software and/or hardware.
• Define architecture of an ISP pipeline.
• Generate ISP architecture benchmark test vectors for hardware/software validation.
• Setup and maintain lab equipment as well as image and video test suites to perform subjective and objective image quality assessment.
• Working in Close collaboration with external suppliers and Aptiv internal modeling team to develop and maintain models for Image Sensor and ISP processing elements.
• Convert simulated algorithms to implementable ISP architectures.

• Manage ISP pipeline related work, IQ benchmark, architectural review and evaluation of individual algorithm blocks.
• Work cross-functionally with hardware, Software and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development cycle.

Your Background

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, mathematics or optics. Phd., and research experience would be an added advantage.
• 5+ years’ experience working on ISP Image Quality testing, architecture and algorithm development.
• Expertise in ISP individual algorithms block such as edge enhancement, Noise filtering, demosaicing, color correction, local tone mapping, color domain conversions, lens distortion correction and pyramid generation.
• Thorough understanding and hands-on experience using HDR, AWB and AE algorithms.
• Expertise in scientific prototyping languages ( MATLAB, Python).
• Familiarity with signal processing algorithm implementation in  C.
• Familiarity with openVX and its implementation in embedded systems with heterogenous system on chip (SOC) architecture.
