Job Title: Automation Test Engineer (Playwright) - Grade 5A

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Automation Test Engineer with expertise in Playwright to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, debugging, CI/CD integration, and quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright.
• Design scalable and reusable automation frameworks following best practices.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams for resolution.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and automation documentation.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings within Agile environments.
• Ensure quality standards and improve overall test coverage.
• Mentor junior testers and contribute to QA best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Playwright Automation Framework.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript (preferred) or Python.
• Strong understanding of UI and API testing.
• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Knowledge of REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Understanding of SQL and database validation techniques.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure Boards, TestRail).

Functional Skills

• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Experience

• 5 to 8 years of overall QA experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of Playwright automation experience.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
