Fire Alarm Technician

M/S Audiotronics is a system integrator specializing in Fire Alarm Systems, Public Address Systems, Audio-Visual Systems, CCTV, Professional Audio, Security Systems, and Lighting Solutions. We undertake installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, and AMC projects for government, industrial, corporate, and commercial clients.

• Job ResponsibilitiesInstallation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems (FDA/FAS).
• Installation and termination of fire alarm cables, detectors, MCPs, sounders, modules, interfaces, and other field devices.
• Installation and configuration of Fire Alarm Control Panels and associated equipment.
• Carry out device addressing, loop testing, continuity testing, and fault rectification.
• Troubleshoot fire alarm system faults and attend service complaints at customer sites.
• Conduct testing of smoke detectors, heat detectors, MCPs, sounders, hooters, modules, and interfaces.
• Perform system programming and basic configuration as per approved drawings and project requirements.
• Read and understand Fire Alarm SLDs, wiring diagrams, layouts, and BOQs.
• Assist engineers during system commissioning, integration, and testing.
• Prepare service reports, testing reports, commissioning reports, and site documentation.
• Carry out periodic preventive maintenance and AMC activities.
• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, contractors, and customer representatives.
• Ensure proper installation practices and compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.
• Travel to different project sites as required.
• Required SkillsITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field preferred.
• 1–5 years of experience in Fire Alarm System installation/service/commissioning.
• Knowledge of conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
• Basic knowledge of fire alarm panels, detectors, MCPs, modules, sounders, and interfaces.
• Ability to understand electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Basic knowledge of using a multimeter and other testing instruments.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer/project sites.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a project team.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.

Preferred ExperienceExperience with fire alarm systems from reputed OEMs such as:

• BOSCH
• Edwards
• Honeywell
• Siemens
• Notifier
• Johnson Controls
• Other reputed fire alarm brands

BOSCH Fire Alarm experience will be an added advantage.
