Functional Test Engineer

Summary

As an Functional Test Engineer at Gainwell,you will be supporting the full life cycle of testing. Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios, executing tests on software usability, analysing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability, preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design teams, focusing on a specific product or family of technologies in multiple platforms, functions independently within a business area and assists at the enterprise level to influence the technical decisions during various testing phases of the project. 

Note: This role is strictly involved in application configuration and development activities and does not involve access to Protected Health Information (PHI), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), or any secured or confidential client data. The work is limited to ECM development, customization, integration, and support activities and does not include handling or processing of sensitive health or personal information

Your role in our mission

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand the requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
• Develop detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data based on functional specifications and user stories.
• Perform functional testing, including but not limited to system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Execute test cases manually to identify defects and ensure software quality.
• Log defects with detailed information and work with the development team to prioritize and resolve them.
• Retest resolved defects to ensure fixes are effective and do not introduce new issues.
• Document test results, prepare test summary reports, and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of test cases, test scripts, and test data &Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements & Adhere to QA processes.
• Enforcing quality best practices and commitment to quality and testing
• Assists in outlining new product/service business case justification to ensure that the proposed solution can deliver articulated business benefits to the client.

What we're looking for

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Manual/Functional/System testing.
• US Healthcare knowledge especially Provider and Claims.
• Must have functional testing experience in US Healthcare Claims processing.
• Functional testing experience in Prior Authorization workflows.
• SQL queries/stored procs
• Good analytical / reasoning / troubleshooting and communication skills

• Good in any automation tool
• Good communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel, and management.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
