Waiter / Steward

1. Job Purpose

To provide excellent food and beverage service to guests, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain high standards of hospitality, hygiene, and service quality.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
• Present menus, explain menu items, and recommend food and beverages.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them to the kitchen.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Ensure tables are properly set up and maintained according to hotel standards.
• Attend to guest requests, feedback, and complaints courteously.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, stewarding, and service team for smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the restaurant and service areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hotel service standards.
• Prepare the restaurant for service and complete closing duties as assigned.
• Ensure correct billing procedures and coordinate with the cashier when required.
• Handle hotel equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware carefully.
• Follow grooming standards, attendance rules, and departmental policies.
• Participate in training sessions and departmental briefings.

3. Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Minimum 10th / 12th pass; hospitality qualification preferred.
• Experience: 0–2 years in hotel or restaurant service; freshers may be considered for trainee positions.
• Skills: Good communication, customer service, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic English communication is preferred.
