Video Editor – Trailers & Cuts — Media & Content (Post-Production)

Turns long recordings into sharp trailers, IWLD's Sales Master film and full-length YouTube videos — working fully from home

Job Title: Video Editor – Trailers & Cuts

Department: Media & Content — Post-Production (Trailer & Cuts)

Reports To: Editing Coordinator

Grade: G2 (per Appointment Letter Annexure A)

Site: WFH — No Site

Work Mode: Work From Home (candidate works from their own editing setup)

Employment Type: Permanent, full-time — selection after a 1-week paid trial

Experience: 1–2 years of video editing; a portfolio of trailers, promos or YouTube videos is required

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month (based on experience and trial performance)

2. ABOUT THE ROLE

IWLD is looking for a Video Editor who specialises in high-impact promotional edits. You will cut trailers for our podcasts, build and keep updating the Sales Master — IWLD's main promotional film — and edit full-length videos for our YouTube channel.

The Sales Master is the video that shows people what IWLD is and how it works: our app, RK's classes, recipes, our social media handles, the systems behind the program, and real student results. The sales team uses it every day, so it has to be clear, convincing and up to date.

This is a fully work-from-home role. Raw footage is shared online and is often long and heavy, so you must have your own powerful editing setup and a fast, reliable internet connection. You will take briefs from the Editing Coordinator and work alongside the Quality Checker, who reviews every output before it is published.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Podcast Trailers

• Watch full-length Hindi podcast recordings and identify the strongest moments — the hooks, insights and emotional points that make people want to watch the full episode.
• Cut short, fast-paced trailers with strong openings, good music choices, captions and clean audio.
• Deliver trailers in the formats and durations required for YouTube, Instagram and other platforms as briefed.

B. Sales Master (IWLD Promotional Film)

• Build IWLD's main promotional film showing the app, RK's classes, recipes, social media handles, our systems and student results.
• Keep the Sales Master updated as new results, features and content become available, so the sales team always has the latest version.
• Present student results and program features accurately, exactly as provided in the brief — never exaggerated or altered.

C. Long YouTube Videos

• Edit full-length YouTube videos end to end: cuts, pacing, audio clean-up, captions, B-roll, text and graphics.
• Keep long videos engaging from start to finish by removing dead time while protecting the meaning of what is said.

D. Workflow & Quality

• Download large raw files, organise project folders, and upload finished outputs to the shared drive as instructed.
• Follow briefs from the Editing Coordinator and deliver on the agreed deadlines.
• Make revisions promptly based on feedback from the Quality Checker and the Editing Coordinator.
• Maintain IWLD's visual style — fonts, colours, logo use and captions — consistently across every output.
• Keep all raw footage, student information and unreleased content strictly confidential.

4. WORKING HOURS

10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, working from home. You are expected to be reachable on the team's communication channels during these hours and to respond to feedback during the working day.

5. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves

• Hindi: must understand spoken Hindi fluently — you will be choosing the right moments from Hindi recordings, which is not possible without it.
• Own editing setup: a powerful editing PC with a good graphics card, plenty of storage for long raw footage, and professional editing software installed and ready to use.
• High-speed internet: a fast and reliable connection, since large raw files have to be downloaded and finished videos uploaded every day.
• Editing skill: strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro / After Effects or DaVinci Resolve.
• Trailer sense: a good feel for storytelling, pacing, hooks and music — the ability to make someone want to watch more.
• Portfolio: samples of trailers, promos or YouTube videos you have edited.

Standing Requirements (all IWLD roles)

• Good working English and Hindi.
• Strong reading comprehension — able to follow written briefs and instructions exactly.
• Follow-up discipline and ownership of your work until it is delivered and approved.
• Clear, timely communication with the team.
• Comfortable using Google Drive, Sheets and Docs.

Good to Have

• Motion graphics and animated text skills.
• Experience editing podcasts or health, fitness or wellness content.

6. WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE

• Podcast trailers that make viewers click through to the full episode.
• A Sales Master that the sales team is confident showing to every prospective student, and that is always up to date.
• Long YouTube videos that keep viewers watching, delivered on time with minimal rework.
• Consistent IWLD branding across every video you deliver.

7. NOTE

Selection for this role is made after a 1-week paid trial, during which your editing quality, turnaround time and response to feedback are assessed. This role follows IWLD's internal editing and quality-check process, and full onboarding on briefs, brand style and the shared-drive workflow will be provided
