Furniture Designer Cum Product Research Executive

*About the Role*

Krishna Furniture is looking for an experienced furniture designer with strong product research, 2D drafting, and 3D modelling skills. The candidate should be able to interpret reference images and develop original, practical furniture designs suitable for manufacturing.

*Key Responsibilities*

- Research furniture trends, materials, finishes, and customer preferences.

- Develop furniture concepts using reference images, sketches, and mood boards.

- Prepare detailed 2D drawings, dimensions, and manufacturing specifications.

- Create 3D models and realistic renders for design presentations.

- Coordinate with production teams on prototypes, construction details, and final execution.

- Evaluate designs for comfort, durability, functionality, and cost.

- Improve existing products and maintain organised design documentation.

*Qualifications & Skills*

- Degree or diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related discipline from NID or another recognised design institute.

- 5–6 years of relevant furniture design and product development experience.

- Proficiency in 2D/3D design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Rhino, or equivalent tools.

- Strong understanding of furniture proportions, ergonomics, materials, joinery, and manufacturing processes.

- Ability to interpret reference images and translate concepts into production-ready designs.

- A strong furniture portfolio showing sketches, technical drawings, 3D renders, and completed products.
