Summary

As a Roku Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. A typical day involves collaborating with various teams to understand their needs, developing innovative streaming solutions, and ensuring that applications are optimized for performance and usability. You will also engage in problem-solving activities, provide technical guidance to team members, and continuously enhance application functionality and user experience.

Roles & Responsibilities
Collaborate with and manage the team to deliver project objectives.
Engage with multiple teams and contribute to key technical decisions.
Provide solutions to technical challenges across teams.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of application features.

Professional & Technical Skills
Minimum 4 to 7 years of experience in developing video streaming applications for Roku using Bright Script, Scene Graph, and XML.
Experience using Bright Script and Roku debugging tools.
Strong understanding of the Scene Graph framework and its core principles.
Experience integrating third-party libraries such as Player, Analytics, and Advertising SDKs.
Experience using Roku APIs and Roku application development.
Familiarity with video encoding and streaming formats such as HLS, DASH, and DRM.
Exposure to IAP (In-App Purchase) and billing testing.
Experience consuming RESTful Services and JSON.
Familiarity with Roku Channel certification and publishing criteria.
Experience with performance optimization on Roku devices.
2 to 3 years of hands-on experience developing applications using Bright Script and Scene Graph.
Experience developing and customizing UI components using Scene Graph.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.

Additional Information
Familiarity with video encoding and streaming formats such as HLS and DASH.
Experience with Roku application release and deployment procedures.
The candidate should have a minimum of 7.5 years of relevant experience in Roku Development.
