Senior / Lead Analyst – FP&A & Python

We are looking for a high-calibre Senior / Lead Analyst to join our Finance & Accounting team and act as a strategic partner to leadership through best-in-class Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and advanced Python-based automation. Based in any of our key India hubs (Pune, Gurugram, Noida, Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi or Hyderabad), you will own critical modelling, forecasting and performance-tracking activities that drive business decisions, while strengthening financial governance and process efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the annual budgeting, long-range planning and rolling forecast cycles; build dynamic financial models, scenario analysis and stress-testing frameworks to support strategic decision making.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts and/or notebooks to automate data extraction, transformation, and reconciliation across large, disparate financial datasets.
• Deliver monthly management reporting packs, variance analysis and business insights that highlight key drivers of revenue, costs, margin and cash flow.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate, timely recognition of revenue, expenses, commission accruals and performance metrics.
• Design and implement robust financial controls, SOX/ICFR compliant processes and governance workflows to safeguard data integrity and reporting accuracy.
• Prepare executive-level presentations translating complex financial results and statistical insights into clear, action-oriented recommendations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process automation, system enhancements and advanced analytics adoption.
• Mentor junior analysts; promote best practices in financial modelling, Python coding standards, and data visualization.
• Support ad-hoc strategic projects such as new product pricing, M&A due diligence, and capital allocation analyses.
• Monitor risks and opportunities, evaluating the financial impact of market shifts, policy changes or business model innovations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or related field; MBA / CA / CFA / CIMA preferred.
• 4–10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, business analytics or related domains within mid-to-large organisations.
• Proven expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis; advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, Power Query, dynamic arrays).
• Hands-on proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation (Pandas, NumPy, Jupyter, etc.).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IND AS / IFRS / US GAAP) and experience supporting audit, SOX and internal controls.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex quantitative analyses into clear business narratives for finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines, ideally with ≤1-month notice period flexibility.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with enterprise performance-management or commission systems (e.g., Anaplan, Xactly, SAP Commissions, Hyperion, Adaptive Insights).
• Familiarity with SQL, VBA, Alteryx, or other data automation / ETL tools.
• Exposure to global or multi-national environments and multi-currency consolidations.
• Knowledge of sales compensation plan design, clawbacks, draw/guarantee structures and related governance.
• Background in advanced statistical analysis, machine learning or data science applications within finance.
