Job Description

Wood Mart is looking for an experienced and creative Interior Designer / Furniture Designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in furniture design and interior projects.

The candidate should have good knowledge of modular furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, TV units, beds, cabinets, and other customized furniture. The ability to understand client requirements and convert them into practical and attractive furniture designs is essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Design customized furniture as per client requirements.

- Prepare 2D layouts, furniture drawings, elevations, and working drawings.

- Take accurate site measurements and prepare designs accordingly.

- Create designs for wardrobes, modular kitchens, TV units, beds, cabinets, and other furniture.

- Coordinate with clients, production teams, carpenters, and site staff.

- Select suitable materials, laminates, finishes, hardware, and accessories.

- Make design changes according to client requirements.

- Prepare cutting/working details for production whenever required.

- Ensure proper coordination between design and manufacturing teams.

- Visit sites for measurements and design verification.

Required Skills

- Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture/interior design.

- Good knowledge of furniture construction and materials.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray/Enscape or similar software.

- Knowledge of plywood, MDF, laminates, veneer, hardware, fittings, and other furniture materials.

- Good understanding of measurements and furniture detailing.

- Creative thinking and attention to detail.

- Good communication and client-handling skills.

Qualification

Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
