Software Development Engineer

Own the result.Certum Ventures Pvt Ltd is hiring Full Stack Software Engineers in Kolkata to build new products on Next.js, NestJS and PostgreSQL, keep our existing websites running smoothly, and use AI tools like Claude to deliver faster than a traditional developer ever could. ·      Location: Kolkata, on-site

·      Schedule: 5 days a week, 50 hours a week

·      Pay: Fixed salary plus bonus for timely delivery

What you will doYou will be the hands-on engineer behind our websites and web products, from first line of code to live deployment.

·      Build new products end to end: Next.js frontends, NestJS APIs and PostgreSQL databases.

·      Maintain every site we run, including existing MERN-stack applications and WordPress websites: fixes, updates, security patches, performance tuning and new features.

·      Work AI-first. Use AI tools such as Claude to write, test and debug code faster, and to speed up work across the whole codebase.

·      Create digital designs with AI tools for pages, banners and product screens, so ideas move from concept to live without long waits.

·      Manage code on GitHub: branches, pull requests, reviews and clean version history.

·      Publish and host projects on AWS, Hostinger and Railway, and keep them stable after launch.

·      Receive code from third-party vendors only after proper quality testing. You review, test and approve it before it goes anywhere near production.

·      Track your own performance with daily and weekly KPI self-assessments.

What we are looking forYou are a practical engineer with real project experience and a habit of finishing what you start.

·      Proven work experience with **Next.js** (frontend), **NestJS** (backend) and **PostgreSQL** (database).

·      Hands-on ability to maintain and fix existing **MERN-stack** applications and **WordPress** sites.

·      Strong working knowledge of AI tools, especially **Claude**, for faster code testing, debugging and everyday codebase work.

·      Ability to create digital designs using AI tools.

·      Comfortable with **GitHub** workflows: branching, pull requests, code review.

·      Experience publishing and hosting code on **AWS, Hostinger or Railway**.

·      Sound judgment to **test and approve code delivered by third-party vendors** for quality, security and performance before release.

·      Discipline to complete daily and weekly self-assessment of your KPIs honestly and on time.

·      Based in **Kolkata** and comfortable with a full-time, five-day, in-office schedule.

Bonus pointsThese are not required, but they will make your application stand out.

·      Experience building mobile apps with **React Native** or any other mobile app language.

·      A design eye: you can shape clean, attractive interfaces and graphics with AI design tools.

·      Experience running projects across several hosting platforms and moving sites between them.

·      A habit of documenting your work so the next person can pick it up easily.

How you will workThis is a full-time, in-office role in Kolkata with a clear and focused schedule.

·      Location: Kolkata. Candidates must be based in the city.

·      Days: 5 days a week, working from the office.

·      Hours: 50 hours a week.

·      Rhythm: a daily KPI check-in and a weekly review, so you and the team always know where things stand.

·      KPI-linked calculation: the bonus is based on your daily and weekly self-assessment of KPIs.
