Stores Executive

Job description:

Location : Mangalgiri

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management

· Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions (receipts, issues, returns).

· Ensure stock levels are maintained and reorder points are followed.

· Monitor stock movement and report discrepancies or slow-moving/non-moving items.

2. Goods Receiving and Issuance

· Inspect received goods for quality and quantity.

· Coordinate unloading, checking, and proper tagging of materials.

· Issue materials and tools as per approved requisitions or indents.

3. Documentation and Record Keeping

· Maintain updated stock registers, bin cards, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), and issue slips.

· Prepare regular reports such as stock statements, daily material receipt reports, etc.

· Ensure all documents are properly filed for easy access and audits.

4. Coordination and Communication

· Liaise with procurement, accounts, and other departments for smooth store operations.

· Coordinate with vendors for material delivery and replacements when required.

· Support audit and compliance activities.

5. Storage and Housekeeping

· Ensure proper storage of materials as per standard guidelines.

· Maintain cleanliness and safety of the store area.

· Implement FIFO (First In First Out) or LIFO (Last In First Out) as per material type.

6. Safety and Security

· Ensure all materials are stored safely to prevent damage or theft.

· Regularly check fire safety and security arrangements in the store area.

· Report any suspicious activities or incidents immediately.

7. Reporting

· Submit daily/weekly/monthly stock and consumption reports to management.

· Highlight low stock, overstock, or dead stock items.

· Assist in budgeting and forecasting inventory needs.

Key Skills Required:

· Knowledge of storekeeping procedures and Tally software

· Attention to detail and good record-keeping ability

· Basic computer skills (MS Excel, Inventory Software)

· Good communication and organizational skills
