Mechanical Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and guide the Office Engineer and ensure timely completion of engineering and project documentation.
• Review and approve BOQs prepared by the Office Engineer based on approved drawings and project requirements.
• Review and approve material requirements and purchase lists before forwarding them to Accounts/Purchase.
• Coordinate with site supervisors to obtain daily/weekly progress reports, measurements, material requirements, photographs, and other required documentation.
• Ensure all project drawings, revisions, BOQs, reports, and site records are properly maintained.
• Coordinate with fabrication and site teams to resolve technical and execution-related issues.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate with Accounts/Purchase to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
• Coordinate dispatches, loading/unloading, porter requirements, and other project logistics when required.
• Track project progress and highlight delays, material shortages, technical issues, or other risks to management.
• Conduct regular follow-ups with site and office teams to ensure commitments are completed on time.
• Provide management with regular updates on project status, engineering requirements, material status, and pending issues.
• Ensure proper coordination between engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site execution.

Key Requirement: Strong ownership, coordination, technical understanding, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
