Job Description
- Conduct and supervise environmental testing of air, water, wastewater, soil, and other environmental samples.
- Perform sample preparation, analysis, calculations, and interpretation of test results.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Ensure testing is carried out as per standard methods, SOPs, and NABL/ISO 17025 requirements.
- Maintain laboratory records, worksheets, test data, and quality-control documentation.
- Prepare and review laboratory test reports and ensure accuracy of results.
- Perform calibration/verification and routine checks of laboratory instruments.
- Monitor quality-control activities, including blanks, standards, duplicates, and reference samples.
- Ensure proper sample receipt, identification, storage, and disposal.
- Coordinate with sampling/field teams for proper collection and handling of environmental samples.
- Assist in method validation, uncertainty estimation, and quality-system activities.
- Ensure laboratory safety, housekeeping, and compliance with applicable procedures.
