Proficient Kiln Services Pvt. Ltd. is a specialized engineering organization providing Rotary Kiln and Rotating Equipment Services to industries including cement, sponge iron and other process industries.

PKS was established by professionals with extensive experience in the field of rotary equipment and kiln services. Our team brings together several decades of practical field experience, with expertise developed through working on a large number of rotary kilns and other heavy rotating equipment.

The Opportunity

As a Trainee Kiln Engineer, you will begin your career by working alongside experienced PKS engineers at customer plants.

You will progressively learn how to inspect, measure, analyse, troubleshoot and service large rotary equipment and understand the mechanical behaviour of rotary kilns under actual operating conditions.

The initial period will involve extensive learning and field exposure. As your knowledge and capabilities develop, you will be given increasing technical responsibilities and opportunities to independently handle assignments.

This career path can eventually lead to becoming a specialist Rotary Kiln Engineer with expertise that is highly valued within the industry.

What Will You Learn?

During your training and field assignments, you will gain practical exposure to areas including:

• Hot Kiln Alignment

• Cold Kiln Alignment

• Rotary kiln mechanical inspections

• Tyre and support roller condition assessment

• Measurement and alignment techniques

• Kiln shell and tyre condition evaluation

• Support roller and bearing systems

• Kiln thrust and mechanical behaviour

• Troubleshooting of rotary equipment

• In-situ grinding and specialized mechanical services

• Identification and analysis of mechanical problems

• Preparation of technical reports and service documentation

• Use of specialized measuring and inspection equipment

• Understanding the relationship between kiln geometry, alignment and mechanical performance

You will not be expected to know all of this when you join.

You will be trained.

A Field-Oriented Engineering Career

Our engineers travel to customer plants located across India, including remote industrial locations.

The role therefore requires a genuine willingness to:

• Work flexible hours depending on plant requirements

• Learn from practical field situations

• Take responsibility as technical capabilities develop

Who Are We Looking For?

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, or

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Previous experience in rotary kilns is not required.
