Construction / Site Supervisor

Position: Site Supervisor— New Factory Setup (Contract)

Company: Pooja Enterprises, Surat

Location: Devam Textile Park, Maroli, Navsari (site-based)

Type: Contract — 8 months, extendable to 12 months maximum

Salary: ₹20,000 to ₹25,000 per month (depending on experience)

Please note this job will only last for 6 to 8 months.

About the role

Pooja Enterprises is setting up a new manufacturing facility at Maroli. This role is responsible for making sure every part of the setup happens on time — construction, interiors, machinery, internal systems and material handling. All technical and commercial decisions will be taken by management. Your job is to track everything, chase every agency, document what is happening, and make sure nothing is missed.

Responsibilities

Site and construction

• Be present at the site daily and send a photo progress report
• Follow up with civil contractor, fabricator, electrical, plumbing and crane supplier
• Check that executed work matches approved drawings and report differences immediately
• Coordinate site visits of our structural engineer for critical checks

Interior work

• Track the interior work in progress against the approved scope
• Maintain a live checklist of what is completed, what is pending and what is delayed
• Flag quality issues and get them corrected before the agency leaves site

Machinery and internal systems

• Maintain the master list of machinery and equipment to be purchased, with status of each item
• Follow up with suppliers on quotations, delivery dates and installation schedules
• Coordinate requirements for internal systems — compressed air, electrical distribution, water lines, exhaust
• Coordinate requirements for internal material movement — cranes, trolleys, material storage and flow between sections
• Selection and specification will be decided by management; you will collect information, follow up and execute

Documentation and SOPs

• Prepare checklists for each activity and update them regularly
• Draft SOPs for factory operations as guided by management
• Maintain a simple weekly project tracker showing planned vs actual
• Support the shifting of the workshop from Surat to Maroli

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering
• 1 to 3 years site experience; industrial project experience preferred
• Able to read civil, structural and electrical drawings
• Must be able to write clear checklists, reports and SOPs in English or Gujarati
• Good working knowledge of Excel and WhatsApp reporting
• Should stay in Navsari, Maroli, Bilimora or nearby area
• Two-wheeler and valid licence

What we are looking for in the person

Strong follow-up ability and a habit of writing things down. This role is about chasing many agencies at the same time and keeping a clear record of what is done and what is pending. We want someone who physically verifies work rather than accepting a phone confirmation.
