LED Repair Service Engine

LED Repair Service Engineer focuses specifically on diagnosing and fixing LED displays, panels, kiosks, and lighting systems.

Core responsibility: Keep LED systems running with minimal downtime — repair faulty modules, boards, and power supplies rather than replacing the whole unit.

Typical job profile:

Diagnosis & repair

  - Identify faults in LED panels, driver boards, power supplies, and controllers using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging

  - Replace damaged LED modules, SMD chips, capacitors, and ICs at component level

  - Reflow soldering and PCB rework for burnt circuits

Installation & maintenance

  - Install LED kiosks/screens at client sites and do initial calibration of brightness, color, and refresh rate

  - Perform preventive maintenance: clean panels, check cooling fans, tighten connections, update firmware

  - Handle outdoors/indoor installations — waterproofing, cabling, power load checks

Field service & customer support

  - Respond to breakdown calls at retail stores, malls, hospitals, corporate offices across Delhi NCR

  - Log service reports with fault details, parts used, and resolution time

  - Train client staff on basic power cycling and daily care

Inventory & documentation

  - Maintain spare parts stock: LED modules, power adapters, HDMI cables, controllers

  - Document common failure patterns and share with manufacturing for quality improvement

Skills that matter:

Electronics: Solid understanding of SMPS, DC power, digital circuits, and soldering

LED tech: Knowledge of RGB/COB/SMD modules, refresh rates, pixel pitch, controller protocols like NovaStar, Colorlight

Tools: Multimeter, hot air gun, soldering station, LED testers

Practical: Working at heights for hoardings, reading wiring diagrams, safety compliance

Soft skills: Communicating with store managers who aren’t technical and working under time pressure
