Indirect Tax Compliance

• Compile data and prepare reports for the monthly sales and use tax filings.
• Prepare and file state and local business licenses.
• Prepare fixed asset data for property tax filings, assist with renditions and bills.
• Assist with maintaining the compliance calendar and ensuring filing deadlines are met.
• Reconcile tax general ledger accounts and assist with monthly close activities.
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for tax filings.

Exemption Certificate & Documentation Management

• Collect, validate, and maintain customer resale and exemption certificates.
• Work with internal teams to resolve certificate gaps or discrepancies.
• Support customer inquiries related to sales tax charges.

Tax Research & Issue Resolution

• Perform basic sales and use tax research for product taxability, state regulations, and tax rate updates.
• Assist with reviewing transactions for proper tax application.
• Communicate findings to senior team members and help implement necessary updates.

Audit Support

• Gather, prepare, and organize documentation for state and local tax audits.
• Assist with responding to auditor requests.
• Help analyze preliminary audit assessments and identify potential corrections.

Systems & Process Support

• Help review tax determinations in ERP and the tax engines.
• Assist with data extraction and preparation for tax analysis and filings.
• Support process improvements and internal control enhancements within the tax function.
