Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced FMCG Merchandiser responsible for category planning, assortment, product selection, vendor coordination, pricing, stock availability, and sales & margin improvement across FMCG categories.

• Key ResponsibilitiesManage FMCG product categories from product selection to store availability.
• Conduct SKU analysis, assortment planning and SKU rationalization.
• Analyze sales, stock, margins, ageing and inventory turnover.
• Prepare category-wise buying and replenishment plans based on sales trends.
• Coordinate with vendors for product availability, pricing, schemes, promotions and delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers on cost, margins, payment terms, MOQ and commercial conditions.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, excess and ageing inventory and take corrective actions.
• Maintain optimum stock levels across stores/DC.
• Coordinate with purchase, supply chain, warehouse and store teams.
• Track competitor pricing, product launches, market trends and consumer demand.
• Develop and maintain MIS reports, sales reports, stock reports and category performance dashboards.
• Monitor Gross Margin, Sell-through %, Stock Turnover, GMROI and inventory days.
• Support promotional planning, offers, schemes and seasonal merchandise planning.
• Ensure correct product master data, pricing and SKU information.
• Identify opportunities for new products, private labels and category expansion.
• Review vendor performance and ensure timely dispatch and delivery.
• Conduct regular review of category performance with management.

• Candidate ProfileGraduate/MBA in Retail Management, Marketing, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
• 3–8 years of relevant experience in FMCG Buying, Merchandising or Category Management.
• Strong knowledge of FMCG categories and retail operations.
• Experience with modern retail / supermarket / hypermarket preferred.
• Strong Excel and MIS skills.
• Good analytical and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with vendors, stores, warehouse and internal stakeholders.
• Candidates from DMart, Reliance Retail, Vishal Mega Mart, Spencer's, More, Big Bazaar/Future Group, Walmart or similar retail organizations will be preferred.
