Fundraising Executive

1. Role Overview

The Fundraising Executive will be responsible for driving on-ground fundraising and crowdfunding activities in Goa. The key focus of the role will be fundraising, donor acquisition and relationship management, systematic collation and maintenance of donor data, and timely and accurate reporting of fundraising activities and collections.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-ground fundraising and crowdfunding activities across assigned locations in Pune & Mumbai.

• Identify and approach potential individual donors, businesses, community groups, institutions and other supporters.

• Communicate the Foundation’s projects, beneficiaries and fundraising requirements effectively to prospective donors.

• Mobilise donations through direct outreach, fundraising campaigns, events and community engagement.

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors and ensure regular follow-ups.

• Maintain a comprehensive and updated donor database, including donor details, contact information, source, interactions, commitments, collections and follow-up status.

• Accurately collate, verify and update donor and fundraising data in the prescribed format/system.

• Track donor leads, commitments, collections, pending follow-ups and conversion of leads into actual contributions.

• Collect and collate relevant beneficiary and field information required for fundraising campaigns.

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly and monthly reports covering fundraising, donor engagement, collections, follow-ups and field activities.

• Coordinate with the central fundraising team for campaign planning, data consolidation, donor updates and reporting.

• Participate in community events and awareness activities to strengthen the Foundation’s local presence.

3. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Management, Marketing, Communications, Rural Development or a related field.

• Candidates with relevant fundraising, sales, business development, NGO or field experience will be preferred.

4. Experience

• 1–3 years of experience in fundraising, sales, business development, donor engagement, community mobilisation, NGO/social-sector work or a related field.

• Freshers with strong communication skills, data-handling ability and willingness to work on-ground may also be considered.

5. Required Skills

• Strong communication, interpersonal and donor engagement skills.

• Good persuasion, negotiation, follow-up and relationship-building skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in donor data collation and record maintenance.

• Basic proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets, MS Office/Google Workspace and digital communication tools.

• Ability to prepare clear, accurate and timely fundraising and donor reports.

• Target-oriented, self-motivated and organised approach to work.

• Comfortable with field work and local travel across Goa.

• Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of Konkani/Marathi will be an advantage.

6. Compensation

Salary: Depending on experience and suitability. Final compensation will be discussed based on the candidate’s experience and profile.

7. Performance Targets / KPIs

• Achievement of monthly fundraising targets assigned by the organisation.

• Number and quality of new donor leads generated and engaged.

• Donor meetings, follow-ups and conversion of leads into actual contributions.

• Accuracy and completeness of donor database and fundraising records.

• Timely updating and submission of daily/weekly/monthly fundraising reports.

• Accurate tracking and reporting of donor commitments and collections.

• Consistent participation in on-ground fundraising, campaigns and community outreach activities.

8. Candidate Profile

We are looking for a people-oriented, energetic and target-driven individual who is comfortable engaging directly with the public, raising funds, maintaining accurate donor information and preparing regular reports. The candidate should be organised, accountable, comfortable with field work and committed to supporting Asvishaa Foundation’s social-impact initiatives. The candidate must be based in Pune & Mumbai
