Job SummaryThe Repair Head will oversee the end-to-end technical repair, servicing, and testing operations for electronic assemblies, PCB boards, panels, and industrial automation equipment. This role leads the repair team, establishes quality assurance standards, manages spare parts inventory, and ensures prompt turnaround times while minimizing downtime for clients.

• Key Responsibilities1. Technical Operations & Repair ManagementLead and manage day-to-day diagnostic, component-level repair, and testing operations for PCBs, industrial automation drives, controllers, and electronic devices.
• Standardize root-cause analysis procedures for complex technical faults, component burnouts, and line failures.
• Supervise quality testing (post-repair burn-in tests, functional checks) to ensure high reliability before final dispatch.
• 2. Team Leadership & SupervisionDirect, guide, and evaluate senior and junior repair technicians and field engineers.
• Conduct regular technical training on updated circuit design troubleshooting, soldering/reworking techniques, and safety protocols.
• Allocate daily work orders and monitor individual technician performance and productivity.
• 3. Process Optimization & Turnaround Time (TAT)Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track Repair Turnaround Time (TAT), First-Time Fix Rates, and warranty/re-repair rates.
• Optimize workflow within the repair workshop to ensure efficient throughput.
• Maintain accurate digital and physical log records for incoming jobs, inspection reports, and repair statuses.
• 4. Inventory & Vendor CoordinationOversee stock levels of critical electronic components, ICs, modules, testing tools, and consumable supplies.
• Coordinate with the procurement department to source genuine spares and components at competitive costs.
• Evaluate component vendor quality and manage vendor relationships.
• 5. Customer & Technical SupportProvide technical guidance to clients or field support teams on complex repairs or retrofitting inquiries.
• Address escalated customer feedback regarding service delays or technical issues with urgency and professionalism.
• Key Qualifications & Skills
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 1 to 4+ years of hands-on experience in electronic repairs/servicing, with at least 1 years in a team-lead or supervisory capacity.

• In-depth understanding of PCB schematics, circuit design analysis, and microcontrollers.
• Proficiency in working with oscilloscopes, multimeters, IC testers, soldering/desoldering stations, and diagnostic software.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electronics, control panels, and automation systems.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, root-cause analytical thinking, problem-solving under pressure, and effective communication skills.
