Accountant

IMPORTANT: Only candidates living in Varanasi will be considered.

Kalawati Steels has sold steel and building material in Varanasi for over 35 years. We need an accountant for our Bachhaon branch who keeps the books of a busy steel counter clean enough that the owner can check any customer, any day, in one minute.

What you will do

1. Daily entry of all purchase, sales, returns, receipts, payments and journals. Zero backlog.
2. Customer and supplier ledgers that match the ERP and the physical bill file.
3. GST: GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B preparation, ITC matching against GSTR-2B, follow up suppliers for mismatches.
4. Daily bank reconciliation including UPI and cheques, and daily cash tally.
5. Daily collection and outstanding report, follow up overdue customers.
6. Debit and credit notes for rate difference, short weight and returns.
7. Month end schedules for the CA and stock valuation support.
8. File every bill, challan, e-way bill and weighbridge slip properly.

Must have

1. B.Com or M.Com with 2+ years as an accountant in trading, distribution or manufacturing.
2. Daily hands-on Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9 (Busy or Marg also fine).
3. Has personally prepared GST returns and matched ITC, not only data entry.
4. Working Excel. Must reach Bachhaon daily.

Interview at Head Office, Varanasi. Full time, 6 days a week.
