Branch Supervisor

Kalawati Steels has sold steel and building material in Varanasi for over 35 years. This job is at our Bachhaon branch near Varanasi. Interview at Head Office, Varanasi. Full time, 6 days a week.

Our Bachhaon branch runs on a live ERP. We are hiring the person who makes sure every bill, every bundle and every rupee at Bachhaon is correct in that system, and who finds out why when it is not. This is an audit and control job with a supervisor's authority over a team of five: accountant, billing, inventory, sales and CRM.

What you will do

1. Own all branch data in the ERP: items, rate lists, units (sut, pieces, kg), customer ledgers and credit limits.
2. Match every physical dispatch to an ERP entry, every day. Close the branch in the ERP daily.
3. Surprise stock counts twice a month, matched to the ERP with every difference explained in writing.
4. Daily bill checks: rate, unit, brand, quantity, weighbridge weight and GST.
5. Daily cash audit: counter cash, UPI, cheques and bank credits matched to receipts.
6. E-way bill and challan check for every vehicle leaving the yard.
7. Credit control: no customer crosses limit without written approval. Weekly overdue report.
8. Train the team on the ERP. Opening and closing discipline, attendance, yard safety.

Must have

1. Graduate, commerce preferred. 3+ years in branch, warehouse or retail operations in steel, cement, hardware, building material or distribution.
2. Has personally used an ERP or billing software daily (Tally, Busy, Marg, SAP or retail ERP).
3. Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciling two lists.
4. Must reach Bachhaon daily. Two-wheeler preferred.
