JOB ROLE - Senior Software Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to help design, develop, and maintain secure and scalable web applications. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding the existing application, communicating with clients to understand their requirements, developing new functionalities, and providing resolutions for issues. You will play a crucial role in the full development lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration, optimization, and troubleshooting of our application solutions.
       

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Conduct detailed analysis the 8 business applications and 8  internal tooling applications hosted on Google Kubernetes Engine(GKE) 

Analysis of the backend stack developed on REST API and integration for the applications.

Analyze data sources and different types of data associated with the applications on Google Kubernetes Engine(GKE)

Analyze Client’s deployment strategy on Kubernetes Platform using ArgoCDs.

Design an end-state architecture taking into consideration the AWS best Practices built around five pillars (Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency and Cost Optimisation)

Design a Migration Development roadmap and strategy  to lift and shift the applications hosted on GKE to AWS EKS and associated PostgreSQL Databases 

Must-have skills:

 5+ years of working experience in designing and implementing web applications on the AWS platform. Well versed with microservice architecture, cloud-based web services architecture, design patterns and frameworks. 

Strong experience in Ruby on Rails, API design and architecture design.

Experience with Rest API, Docker, Back-end. In-depth understanding  of object-oriented programming(OOPs) concepts, data structures, algorithms, APIs, web services, SQL concepts.

Knowledge of the Rust programming language is mandatory.

Knowledge of Actix-web / Rocket or Warp framework used for Rust API development and Diesel ORM.

Ability to lead the technical solution development from scratch and to lead a team of developers in the implementation. 

Good-to-have skills:

Knowledge of GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) and migration to AWS EKS for containerized workloads/applications.

Experience in designing application migration roadmap plans and implementation strategy
