Job Description: Senior Salesforce Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer with 4-5 years of proven expertise in Salesforce development and demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) to join our dynamic team at CRISIL Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura Components
• Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware platforms, and ETL tools
• Develop complex workflows, process builders, flows, and validation rules to automate business processes
• Create custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and custom applications
• Implement and optimize Salesforce CPQ, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, or other Salesforce products as needed

Use AI-Assisted Development Tools

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate code development, improve code quality, and enhance productivity
• Leverage AI capabilities for intelligent code completion, debugging, and deployment
• Apply AI-driven code suggestions and best practices to write efficient, maintainable, and scalable Salesforce code
• Use generative AI tools to automate repetitive coding tasks, generate unit tests, and create technical documentation
• Implement prompt engineering techniques to maximize the effectiveness of AI coding assistants
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for implementation
• Evaluate and adopt new AI-powered development tools and frameworks to improve development efficiency

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in technical design sessions and contribute to solution architecture
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

Quality & Performance

• Ensure code quality through unit testing (minimum 85% code coverage) and comprehensive testing strategies
• Optimize application performance and scalability
• Maintain technical documentation including design documents, deployment guides, and user manuals
• Follow Agile/Scrum methodologies and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives

Required Qualifications

Experience & Education

• 4-5 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar platforms)

Technical Skills

Salesforce Expertise:

• Advanced proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura Framework
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security model
• Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Metadata)
• Proficiency in SOQL, SOSL, and database optimization

AI/ML Skills:

• Hands-on experience with Salesforce Einstein AI platform
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and AI frameworks
• Experience integrating AI services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with Salesforce
• Understanding of predictive analytics and data science concepts
• Proficiency in using GitHub Copilot and Claude Code for AI-assisted code generation and completion
• Familiarity with AI-powered code review and quality assurance tools
• Understanding of prompt engineering and effective collaboration with AI coding assistants

Development Tools:

• Version control systems (GitHub)
• CI/CD tools ( Azure DevOps, Copado, Gearset)
• IDEs (Visual Studio Code, Salesforce Developer Console, IntelliJ IDEA)
• AI-powered development assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Amazon CodeWhisperer, Tabnine, etc.)

Certifications (Required)

• Salesforce Platform Developer I (mandatory)
• Salesforce Platform Developer II (preferred)
• Salesforce AI Specialist or Einstein Analytics and Discovery Consultant (highly preferred)
