The role sits within Core Finance (Treasury) Tech area under Enterprise Finance and Data domain in Group Services division. Treasury systems are Group OFSAA, ABS+ and a number of SaaS products.  We service the Group Treasury Business, and our systems have complex upstream and downstream integration footprint.

The primary function of this role is to provide Quality Assurance over engineering changes.  The secondary function of this role (10% of your time) is to act as an engineer and deliver small changes.  This role will suit someone who is strong on the Quality Assurance side and is interested in extending themselves to add engineering skills.  This role would also suit an engineer with an interest in developing their QA skills.

As a QA Analyst your role is to design & execute functional and non-functional tests, develop scripts to automate tests, work closely with Business and Technical users to clarify requirements and resolve defects, support test environments, report on defects and ensure that all changes deployed to production are free from defects.

You will work in the Treasury Tech squad, alongside the Group Treasury Systems & Data team that will have accountability for some parts of the technology stack

What will your day look like?

• Validate ETL and data integration workflows across multiple upstream and downstream systems
• Perform source-to-target validation, data reconciliation, and data quality testing.
• Validate batch processing workflows and reporting outputs.
• Write SQL queries to investigate defects and perform root cause analysis.
• Work closely with business users, developers, and data engineers to resolve data-related issues.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering / Data QA role.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to perform data validation, reconciliation, defect investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Hands-on experience in ETL Testing, Data Warehouse Testing, and Source-to-Target Validation.
• Experience validating batch processes, data pipelines, and data transformation logic.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Domain experience in Banking, Treasury, Finance, and Regulatory Reporting platforms, with experience in data reconciliation, data quality validation, and large-volume data testing.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools, batch scheduling tools, and ETL automation frameworks for efficient data processing and delivery.
• Experience in Oracle SQL Developer, PL/SQL, Unix/Linux, and Shell scripting, with exposure to Python programming.
• Familiarity with DevOps and reporting tools including GitHub, Jenkins, OFSAA, and OBIEE, providing added advantage in enterprise data environments.
