What you will you do:

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of various storage technologies and architectures, such as SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage) and Object Storage.
  • Hands on experience of HPE XP8 or Hitachi 5600 storage
  • Experience with storage management tools, such as volume managers, file systems, and backup and recovery software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with stakeholders including technical and nontechnical personnel.
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with storage systems.
  • Experience with data migration, including planning and execution of data transfer between storage systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for storage management, such as data protection, data security, and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, collaboration skills with other IT teams such as VMware support team, Application teams, SAN Switch support, system administrators and network engineers.
  • Design and Implementation: Ability to design, implement, and validate zoning and fabric topologies, including multi-fabric and high availability SAN architectures using leading brands (e.g., Brocade, Cisco, MDS).
  • Advanced Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning: Proficient in performing end-to-end troubleshooting, diagnostics, and traffic analysis using tools like port mirroring, flow monitoring, Fabric Watch, and integration with storage monitoring platforms.
  • Firmware & Compliance Management: Experience in SAN switch firmware upgrades, patching, backup/restore of configurations, and maintaining security policies, role-based access control (RBAC), and audit trail compliance. 
  • Assist L1 & L2 for Backup & recovery process
  • Performing mock system failure and then data restoration drills on periodic basis
  • Work with the customer in defining data space management requirements of the customers to identify Inefficiently utilized disk, Fragmented data, monitor storage utilization
  • Assist L1 & L2 team to monitor storage hardware & standard reporting of storage
  • Perform Data replication between DC & DR
  • Perform LUN Allocation/De-allocation/Planning & zoning activities
  • Capacity planning for storage on regular intervals
  • OEM coordination for hardware break fix & Firmware upgrade 

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Qualification: B. Tech/ B.E./ BCA/ MCA or equivalent qualification from an Institute/University recognized by Govt of India or its regulatory bodies in IT/Computer Science/ Electronics & Communications, etc
  • Certification: Advance level Storage and SAN Switch OEM certification
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in managing storage systems
