Sr. Software Engineer

Job Overview
Designs/develops software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs and requirements while collaborating with cross-functional teams and Platform teams across time zones. The role requires strong handson development experience and product development mindset.

Essential Functions
• Translates business needs into technical specifications and provides input to the requirements for the development of a solution.
• Writes design documents and converts them into high quality code.
• Thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects prior to implementation. Documents and works to resolve all problems.
• Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Performs work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
• Does Automation, writes unit test plans derived from an analysis of functional requirements and programming specifications.
• Manage time to respect milestones, delivery dates. Work independently with minimal guidance from development managers.
• Provide timely support to client teams for product issues. 
• Make a constant effort to gain technical knowhow of IQVIA products and underlying platforms. At the same time explore and adapt to new technologies and make value additions in existing system.
• Provides accurate project status. Contributes to the team development by clearly communicating (verbal / written) the design/problems/ideas to other team members
• Works collaboratively with developers across regions.
• Respond to peer feedback, adjusting solutions.
• Perform peer code reviews.
• Follow standard operating processes and work instructions defined for development teams. Guide team members on process.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience
• 4-5 years of experience in Software Development in .NET technologies, RDBMS such as SQL Server
• 3+ years of experience in Web technologies like javascript and reactjs
• Solid experience in coding, debugging with C#, .NET Core / .NET 4.8 / React
• Experience in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure
• Experience with API programming and integrations
• Exposure to Entity Framework or Salesforce or other ORM tools
• Hands on experience with version control system such as Gitlab
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Good coding appetite and strong troubleshooting skills
