What would you do? We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our Payments operations team as a Vice President / Senior Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various Payment operations, including Cheques, Deposit/Lockbox Operations, Payment Investigations, Payment Execution, Reconciliations and maintenance & servicing of product requests. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, streamline processes, and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Payments lifecycle (ACH/Wire/Credit Cards/Debit Cards, Cheques), Deposit/Lockbox Operations, banking operations, legal requirements, and a proven track record of managing complex payments operations processes
What are we looking for? Qualifications: ? Bachelor s or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (preferred). ? Extensive experience (20+ Years) in payments operations, with a focus on Wire/ACH/Credit Card/Debit Card/Cheques payments, Payment Repair & Investigations, Payment Execution, Deposit/Lockbox Operations, Account reconciliations and fulfilment of product related servicing & maintenance requests. ? Solid knowledge of Payments industry, products and regulatory requirements. ? Proven track record of successfully managing and improving Payments Operations within a financial institution. ? Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team. ? Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. ? Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. ? Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in operations. ? Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. ? Proficiency in using banking software and technology platforms Working Conditions ? Employee should be flexible with shifts (US Shift / Rotational Shift) and willing to extend their shift timings during the transition phase. B. Com / C.A / MBA / Accountancy background is preferred. ? Work Location: Bengaluru and work from Office only
Roles and Responsibilities: •Responsibilities: ? Oversee and manage the day-to-day Payment operations (Cheque Payments, Deposit/Lockbox Operations, Compliance checks), ensuring efficient and customer-centric services. ? Strong knowledge on end to end domestic (ACH)/international payments (Swift, Fedwire) ? Sound understanding in international payment and clearing process ? Expertise in Payment systems and Mechanisms and good understanding of Payment products –Cheques (Reconciliation, Claims, Adjustments, Positive Pay, Fraud etc.), Lockbox Operations ? Working Knowledge across Deposit, Cheques, Lockbox Operations Lifecycle ? Review electronic payments, payment repair, investigations, reconciliations and servicing & maintenance requests. ? Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer experience, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets. ? Collaborate with senior management to establish operational goals, policies, and procedures that align with the overall business objectives. ? Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and guidelines in payment banking operations. ? Drive the development and implementation of new payment products, services, and digital solutions to meet customer needs and market demands. ? Analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities and drive innovation. ? Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, business partners, and stakeholders to foster loyalty and promote business growth. ? Provide guidance and support to Payment operations teams, including performance management, training, and professional development initiatives. ? Monitor and analyze operational metrics, customer feedback, and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence. ? Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as risk management, compliance, and technology, to ensure alignment and effective implementation of business strategies. ? Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting retail banking and commercial banking operations. ? Prepare and present operational reports, financial analysis, and performance updates to senior management.
