KIP Team Lead - Manager - MFT - KGS CH

Overview

The KGS Tech Team Lead will be responsible for managing the Advisory Tech KIP team located in India. The individual will need to lead a team of cross functional individuals ranging from business, operational, technical teams such as .net development, automated testing, power BI development, SharePoint development, Business analysts, Project Managers and PMO support across a diverse portfolio of projects. They will be responsible for ensuring the team work cohesively and effectively in alignment with the agreed portfolio priorities as defined by Advisory leadership team. They will be responsible for the performance management and adherence to KGS processes. This role does not necessarily need deep expertise in .NET, Power BI, SharePoint, or testing, but should understand how these functions operate and be able to manage teams delivering in those areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day direction, support, and guidance to KGS colleagues

  • Ensure team are working on allocated project work in line with Advisory tech objectives

  • Monitor quality and performance against agreed criteria to make learning recommendations or escalate concerns.

  • Coach colleagues in developing target skills and capabilities in line with team and personal goals

  • Facilitate effective working relationships between team members and Advisory Tech of UK

  • Form, maintain, and lead workgroups and individuals to achieve individual, team and Advisory Tech objectives

  • Determine and delegate objectives and task responsibilities to individuals or teams, including people management responsibilities as appropriate

  • Set quality, performance, and capability targets in line with KGS firmwide goals

  • Monitor performance and working relationships, providing effective feedback to address individual issues

  • Encourage individual development of skills and capabilities in line with team and personal goals

  • Provide a work environment and resources that allow individuals and workgroups to perform their tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to form, maintain, and lead workgroups and individuals to achieve organizational objectives.

  • Experience in determining and delegating objectives and task responsibilities to individuals or teams.

  • Proficiency in setting quality, performance, and capability targets in line with organizational goals

  • Skills in monitoring performance and working relationships, providing effective feedback to address individual issues

  • Competence in providing operational direction, support, and guidance to assigned colleagues.

  • Ability to monitor quality and performance against agreed criteria and make learning recommendations or escalate concerns

  • Skills in coaching colleagues to develop target skills and capabilities in line with team and personal goals.

  • Ability to facilitate effective working relationships between team members and encourage individual development

Formal Organizational Processes:

  • Proficiency in leading the implementation of formal organizational processes such as recruitment, reward, promotion, and disciplinary procedures

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and Advisory Tech.

  • Ability to develop effective working relations within the workgroup and with other workgroups, partners, and individuals who collaborate to achieve workgroup objectives

  • Monitors and reports on the progress of development projects. Ensures projects are carried out in accordance with agreed architectures, standards, methods and tools and addresses security and privacy requirements. 

  • Develops road maps to communicate future development activity.

  • Identifies and manages the resources necessary for all stages of systems development projects. 

  • Ensures that technical, financial and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or a related field.

  • Proven experience in technical team management or a related role.

  • 8-15+ years of technology experience

  • Experience managing managers, leads, or multidisciplinary teams

  • Strong program/project delivery background

  • Exposure to software development lifecycle and technology governance

  • Experience working with offshore-onshore delivery models

  • Strong stakeholder and people leadership skills
