Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP (Production Planning) and QM (Quality Management) Consultant with 8+ years of SAP experience and strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA support and optimization. The consultant will be responsible for providing functional support, incident resolution, system enhancements, business process improvements, user training, and integration support across Production Planning and Quality Management processes in a live S/4HANA environment.

The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, IT teams, SAP Basis, ABAP, and other functional consultants to ensure seamless manufacturing and quality operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning (PP)

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for SAP PP processes.
• Analyze and resolve production planning, manufacturing, and execution issues.
• Support and optimize:
• Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
• Production Orders
• Process Orders
• Capacity Planning
• Shop Floor Control
• Master Data Management
• Demand Management
• Production Scheduling
• Batch Management
• Configure and maintain PP master data:
• BOMs
• Routings
• Production Versions
• Work Centers
• PRTs
• Monitor and optimize MRP runs and planning parameters.
• Support production order lifecycle from creation through confirmation and settlement.
• Work with business teams to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.

Quality Management (QM)

• Provide support for quality management processes within SAP S/4HANA.
• Configure and maintain:
• Inspection Types
• Inspection Plans
• Sampling Procedures
• Quality Notifications
• Quality Certificates
• Quality Control Processes
• Resolve QM-related incidents and production quality issues.
• Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
• Manage defect tracking and corrective/preventive actions.
• Support audit requirements and quality compliance initiatives.
• Configure quality workflows and approval processes.

S/4HANA Support & Enhancements

• Perform impact analysis for business change requests.
• Gather requirements and prepare functional specifications.
• Design and implement system enhancements.
• Conduct configuration changes and testing activities.
• Support SAP Fiori applications related to PP and QM.
• Participate in release management and transport activities.
• Collaborate with ABAP developers for custom developments and reports.

Integration Support

Work closely with cross-functional teams supporting integrations with:

• MM (Materials Management)
• SD (Sales & Distribution)
• EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
• PM (Plant Maintenance)
• FI/CO (Finance & Controlling)
• MES Systems
• SAP IBP/APO (if applicable)
• Third-party manufacturing and quality systems

Incident & Service Management

• Manage tickets through ServiceNow/JIRA/SAP Solution Manager.
• Meet SLA requirements for incident and problem resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
• Support business users during critical production periods.
• Prepare knowledge articles and support documentation.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in:
• SAP PP
• SAP QM
• SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing Processes

• MRP Live
• Production Planning
• Production Execution

Technical & Functional Knowledge

• SAP S/4HANA configuration experience.
• Ability to prepare Functional Specification Documents (FSDs).
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications.
• Strong debugging and issue analysis skills.
• Knowledge of IDocs, interfaces, and integration concepts.
• Experience with SAP workflows and output management.

Support Skills

• Incident and problem management.
• Change request management.
• Testing and defect management.
• User training and knowledge transfer.
• Documentation and process mapping.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA implementation and support experience.
• Experience in manufacturing industries such as:
• Automotive
• Pharmaceuticals

• SAP Activate methodology knowledge.
• Familiarity with SAP EWM and PP/DS.
• SAP certification in PP or S/4HANA Manufacturing preferred.
