Windows Infrastructure and Security Engineer:
- Technology is seeking a results-driven, self-directed individual to join Northern Trust as an Engineer for Windows Infrastructure and Security Administration and Projects.
- The Windows Engineer is responsible for planning, technical development and support of Windows Systems Applications and Windows OS environment. leading the day to day operations of the Global Technology Risk and Control team and working with risk and control teams in other global sites to establish and maintain a highly effective IT control environment.
Required Skills:
- 9+ years of experience in Windows, Security, Azure Cloud Services
- Strong experience in Active Directory, Group Policies, OU Design, Security
- Windows Image creation, monthly image refresh
- End of life remediation Projects, Windows Upgrades, Windows Security
- Technical Experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Networking
- Certification in Microsoft Windows, Azure Cloud, Infrastructure Security.
- Understanding of IT Infrastructure Technologies Windows, VMWare, Azure.
- Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, including experiences in management relationship
- Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change, technology forward thinking
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Operate independently and have strong knowledge in Windows and Microsoft Technologies.
- As subject area expert, provide comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level
- Carry out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult
- Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development, and execution of strategic direction of business function activities. Conduct preliminary analysis
- Responsible for direct interaction with different committees and/or management.
- Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas. Configure many different Azure Cloud services.
- Working well with a global team, leadership/management, other technical and business teams
