Assistant Manager
Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
Maintenance Operations
- Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for production equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures to minimize downtime.
- Monitor machine performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure timely restoration of equipment during breakdowns.
Equipment Reliability
- Maintain engine manufacturing machines such as CNC machines, assembly lines, conveyors, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment issues.
- Implement reliability improvement initiatives and Kaizen activities.
Planning & Documentation
- Prepare maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to PM plans.
- Maintain maintenance records, equipment history cards, and downtime reports.
- Update spare parts consumption and inventory records.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with plant safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance activities.
- Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.
- Promote a safe working culture within the maintenance team.
Utilities & Infrastructure
- Support maintenance of utility systems including air compressors, pumps, cooling systems, DG sets, and material handling equipment.
- Monitor utility performance and coordinate repairs when required.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and Cost Reduction initiatives.
- Recommend modifications to improve equipment efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
- Support new equipment installation and commissioning activities.
