Ecolab is seeking a highly skilled Senior Marketing Copywriter to join our Creative Services team within the Marketing function, based at our office in Pune, India. This role is responsible for developing compelling, audience-centric content that drives engagement, strengthens brand consistency, and supports business objectives across multiple marketing channels. 

The Senior Copywriter will partner closely with designers, project managers, marcomm, and business stakeholders to translate complex ideas into clear, persuasive, and impactful communications. The ideal candidate combines exceptional writing ability, proofreading and a strong understanding of modern content and digital marketing practices. You will write compelling messages that speak to people’s hearts and minds. What You Will Do:  

• Copywriting & content creation – Craft clear, compelling and on-brand messages and experiences through words and concepts to address the intended audience and generate the desired outcome based on business / legal requirements. 

• Develop compelling headlines, campaign concepts, and storytelling frameworks that drive engagement and action. 

• Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, messaging architecture, and business goals. 

• Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and industry standards. 

• Content Optimization – Enhance content through strategic utilization of relevant keywords to drive SEO, AEO and audience engagement. 

• Cross-channel Collaboration – Work with creative teams (designers, marketers and other stakeholders) to determine story structure and tone and drive the personality of the brand/campaign to meet communication needs in multiple channels. 

• Copy Quality Assurance & Content Governance - Serve as a quality gatekeeper for written content, ensuring all deliverables meet established standards for accuracy, clarity, grammar, style, tone, and brand compliance before publication or distribution. 

• Process Improvement – Identify opportunities to streamline writing workflows and content processes; implement improvements and share best practices with the broader team. Establish and maintain copy quality checklists, editorial standards, and review processes to drive consistency and reduce rework. 

• Support knowledge management activities by identifying and updating knowledge as requested and required. Provide constructive feedback and coaching to writers, content contributors, and stakeholders to continuously improve content quality. 

• Contribute continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities and implementing changes to enhance processes. Support the development and maintenance of style guides, messaging frameworks, terminology libraries, and content governance practices. 

Minimum Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field. 

• 8-10 years of professional copywriting, creative writing experience, preferably within a B2B, agency or a global corporate house 

• Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills demonstrating creative ideation and content across multiple formats and channels. 

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and respond professionally to feedback and revisions. 

• Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal). 

• Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Sitecore (CMS), Widen DAM, and keyword research platforms (e.g., Google Keyword Planner).
