GDS Deal Management - Core – Associate Manager– India

Within EYP, Deal Management team services clients with a full range of hands-on, operationally focused support and advice across the transaction life cycle, across buyers and sellers. We cover a wide range of operational aspects, including divestiture advisory services, carve-out readiness and support, operational due diligence, synergy assessment and delivery, day-one readiness assessment, 100 day planning, integration process support, carve-out/stand-alone costs assessment and risks, and cost reduction. 

Our professionals work on transactions and business development across the globe.

 

The opportunity

We are seeking an Associate Manager with Japanese language proficiency (minimum JLPT N1 or N2 certification) and substantial industry experience in a specific sector, or prior experience working with a consulting firm. Candidate should ideally have experience in M&A life cycle, operational due diligence, commercial due diligence, carve-out / integration of a business post-announcement of transaction, cross-border M&A. Your key responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent skills in project execution, including analyzing financial reports, synergy assessment, standalone costing, project management, problem-solving and facilitation
• Support execution of the carve-out / integration projects while working to constantly identify areas for improvement, including resolving issues
• Conduct industry, sector and deal analysis to identify right portfolio mix and opportunity areas   
• Manage client engagement teams executing Deal Management services which support key decision makers in developing and executing their transaction strategy to secure deal value 
• Responsible for high degree of GDS user satisfaction with engagement process and work products
• Conduct timely performance reviews for employees and develop other professionals by providing effective performance feedback and training. Lead by example.
• Collecting and analysing primary and secondary data sources to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities

• Ability to determine risks and opportunity areas 
• Skill to synthesize approaches to complex carve-out and integration conflicts

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

• JLPT N1 or N2 level certified Japanese language capabilities
• Post Graduate degree in business, accounting, finance, engineering, computer science or related field from a premier institute with 6-8 years of applicable industry and/or consulting experience
• Basic understanding of M&A life cycle, carve-out / integration of a business post-announcement of transaction, cross-border M&A
  • Well versed with MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Should be proficient in Market research, Opportunity analysis and should have good understanding of research databases
  • Willingness to undertake international travel as per business requirement

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Project management skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
