Role Summary

Kanhai Foods is looking for a hands-on Housekeeping Supervisor to lead cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene operations across our food manufacturing plant. The role owns day-to-day housekeeping standards, manages a shift-based team, and ensures the facility stays audit-ready and compliant with food-safety hygiene requirements at all times.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate the housekeeping team across day and night shifts, allocating tasks and ensuring full coverage.
2. Manage a team of 15–20 housekeeping staff, including scheduling, attendance, and daily performance.
3. Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards across production, storage, utility, and common areas in line with food-safety and GMP norms.
4. Operate and oversee use of industrial and mechanised cleaning equipment (scrubbers, high-pressure washers, floor machines, etc.).
5. Monitor stock of cleaning materials and chemicals; raise indents and control consumption.
6. Conduct routine housekeeping and hygiene audits at the plant and close out gaps with corrective action.
7. Ensure readiness for internal and external audits (customer, quality, and regulatory).
8. Enforce safe handling of cleaning chemicals and correct use of PPE by the team.
9. Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams for cleaning schedules around plant operations.
10. Maintain housekeeping records, checklists, and shift logs.

Requirements

1. 2–3 years of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, preferably in a manufacturing, food processing, or plant environment.
2. Proven experience managing both day and night shifts.
3. Experience leading a team of 15–20 people.
4. Hands-on experience with industrial and mechanised cleaning machines.
5. Experience conducting housekeeping / hygiene audits at a plant or facility.
6. Working knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards (GMP / food-safety exposure preferred).
7. Ability to manage teams, schedules, and reporting under operational pressure.

Preferred / Good to Have

1. Prior experience in a food or FMCG manufacturing plant.
2. Familiarity with audit standards and documentation.
3. Basic reading/writing and record-keeping ability.
