Job Description
TOOL MAKER-JOB DESCRIPTION
SHEET METAL-AUTOMOTIVE BACK GROUND-TOOL MAINTENANCE
- Good working knowledge in Tool & die making. All types of tool like progressive tool, tandem tools
2. Coordinating with the engineering team for determining the design feasibility for tooling and conducting feasibility study of new drawings, assessing requirements & evaluating new product
3. Analyzing and reviewing the design of tools with tool makers, to ensure continual process improvement and carrying out design alterations
4. Implementing modifications in tools and resolving operational troubles with tools during trials and production
5. Suggest ECN changes existing Tools and implement the changes accordingly to increase productivity ,Quality,Economy&Cost saving.
6. Analysis of problems, rectification, On-line maintenance, Attending and troubleshooting during production
7. Check tooling drawings, prepare machining sketches and issue to suitable machines.
8. Coordinating with tooling vendors, managing tooling issues, as well as engineering changes and the repair of current production tooling.
9. Carrying out the responsibility of handling M/C shop. Providing technical guidance to workers for pre-machining of raw material for Conventional & Non-Conventional finishing
10. Suggest improvement in existing Tools and implement the changes accordingly to increase productivity and Cost saving. Support purchase / sourcing team to explore potential suppliers required for the program.
11. Responsible for regular manufacturing activity of the shop floor, managing manpower allocation, machine scheduling in working shifts.
