What would you do? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as Manager of Payment Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects payment operations (payments lifecycle for Cheques, Deposit/Lockbox Operations, processing and execution, reconciliation, servicing). You will provide strategic direction, ensure operational efficiency, and deliver exceptional customer service across multiple banking channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Payment operations and proven leadership skills to drive results in a competitive banking environment.
What are we looking for? ? Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field (preferred). ? Extensive experience (15+ Years) in Payment Operations, or a related role within the financial industry. ? Strong knowledge of Payment products, services, and operations o Wire/ACH/Credit card/Debit card, Cheques Payments, Deposit/Lockbox Operations o Payment Repairs & Investigations o Maintenance & Servicing Requests o Sanctions Screening/OFAC Screening ? Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams, drive results, and manage change. ? Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset. ? Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. ? Strong understanding of Payment regulations (ACH/NACHA, Fedwire compliance requirements, and risk management practices) ? Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing market conditions and effectively lead in a dynamic business environment. ? Proficiency in using banking software and technology platforms. ? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. ? Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure Working Conditions ? Employee should be flexible with shifts (US Shift / Rotational Shift) and willing to extend their shift timings during the transition phase. B. Com / Accountancy background is preferred. ? Work Location: Bengaluru and work from Office only
Roles and Responsibilities: •? Oversee and manage the day-to-day Payment operations (payments lifecycle for Wires/ACH/Debit Card/Credit card, processing and execution, reconciliation, servicing), ensuring efficient and customer-centric services. ? Strong domain knowledge of end to end domestic (ACH)/international payments (Swift, Fedwire), Cheques, Deposit/Lockbox Operations ? Sound understanding in international payment and clearing process ? Expertise in Payment systems and Mechanisms and good understanding of Payment products –Cheques (Reconciliation, Claims, Adjustments, Positive Pay, Fraud etc.), Lockbox Operations ? Review electronic payments, payment repair, investigations, reconciliations and servicing & maintenance requests. ? Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer experience, increase market share, and achieve revenue targets. ? Collaborate with senior management to establish operational goals, policies, and procedures that align with the overall business objectives. ? Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and guidelines in payment banking operations. ? Drive the development and implementation of new payment products, services, and digital solutions to meet customer needs and market demands. ? Analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities and drive innovation. ? Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, business partners, and stakeholders to foster loyalty and promote business growth. ? Provide guidance and support to Payment operations teams, including performance management, training, and professional development initiatives. ? Monitor and analyze operational metrics, customer feedback, and performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence. ? Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as risk management, compliance, and technology, to ensure alignment and effective implementation of business strategies. ? Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes affecting retail banking and commercial banking operations. ? Prepare and present operational reports, financial analysis, and performance updates to senior management
