Job Description& Summary  We are looking for a Jira Administrator to manage, optimize, and scale our enterprise-level multi-node Jira environment. You will be responsible for system stability, backend performance, advanced customizations, and platform governance.

Responsibilities  • Platform Maintenance: Manage and optimize multi-node Jira Data Center environments, including highavailability clustering and load balancing. • Upgrades & Patches: Plan and execute complex Jira upgrades, security patches, and database migrations with minimal downtime. • Customization: Design complex custom workflows, permission schemes, screen schemes, and fields. • Automation & Scripting: Write and maintain advanced scripts using ScriptRunner (Groovy) and Jira Automation. Basic scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. • App Management: Evaluate and troubleshoot third-party marketplace apps (e.g., Xray, eazyBI, Advanced Roadmaps). • Integrations: Connect Jira with external tools (GitHub, Confluence, Slack, ServiceNow) using REST APIs and webhooks. • Tier 3 Support: Act as the highest escalation point for technical troubleshooting, log analysis, and system failures. • Migration Architecture: Support the technical planning, data mapping, and execution of moving users, projects, and data from Jira DC to Atlassian Cloud. Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience: 5–7 years of Atlassian administration, with at least 3 years explicitly focused on Jira Data Center architecture. • Infrastructure: Strong hands-on experience with Linux server administration and command-line troubleshooting. • Scripting: Proficiency in Groovy (for ScriptRunner), Bash, or Python. • Databases: Solid knowledge of relational databases and writing SQL queries. • Agile Knowledge: Deep understanding of Scrum and Kanban frameworks to properly guide team board configurations. • Certifications: Atlassian Certified Jira System Administrator (ACP-100) or similar is preferred.

Mandatory Skill Sets Experience: 5–7 years of Atlassian administration, with at least 3 years explicitly focused on Jira Data Center architecture. • Infrastructure: Strong hands-on experience with Linux server administration and command-line troubleshooting. • Scripting: Proficiency in Groovy (for ScriptRunner), Bash, or Python. • Databases: Solid knowledge of relational databases and writing SQL queries. • Agile Knowledge: Deep understanding of Scrum and Kanban frameworks to properly guide team board configurations. • Certifications: Atlassian Certified Jira System Administrator (ACP-100) or similar is preferred.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following AWS services: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation. 

Preferred Skill Sets

• Experience: 2–4 years in Java backend development. 

• Technical fit: Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, AWS, Git/CI-CD. 

• AI-led development: Hands-on usage of MHCP, GHCP, Cursor AI, Claude AI, Amazon Q, or equivalent is mandatory. 

• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following AWS services: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation.
