Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a capable Python Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, robust software solutions. This role emphasizes strong backend development with Python, collaboration with front-end teams as needed, and close cooperation with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing applications. The ideal candidate will contribute to architectural decisions, drive feature delivery, and support modern delivery practices to enable business growth and digital transformation.

Software Requirements

Required Skills (Essential)

• Proficiency in Python 3.x for backend development, data processing, and automation

• Experience with one or more Python web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and REST API development

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies

• Solid knowledge of software architecture and design patterns

• A minimum of 3years of experience in technology leadership and software development

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and infrastructure (at least foundational familiarity)

• Experience with relational databases and SQL data modeling (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle)

• Version control experience with Git; collaboration platforms (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket)

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases and data warehousing concepts

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling

• Exposure to data visualization, testing frameworks, or front-end integration

• Certifications in Python development or cloud platforms

Overall Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and services aligned with business requirements

• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

• Write clean, well-documented code; participate in code reviews to uphold quality standards

• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security across environments

• Contribute to architecture discussions and ensure alignment with enterprise standards

• Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes

• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture, deployment procedures, and technical specifications

• Mentor junior developers and promote knowledge sharing and best practices

• Banking or regulated industry experience is a plus but not mandatory

• Alternative pathways: strong project experience, relevant certifications, or notable contributions to Python-based platforms

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and maintain backend services in Python and collaborate with frontend teams as needed

• Gather requirements, plan iterations, and contribute to design discussions

• Write, review, and test code; perform unit and integration testing

• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance and security

• Participate in planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 8–10 years of hands-on Python development experience

• Certifications in Python, cloud platforms, or software development practices are advantageous
