JOB DESCRIPTION: 

ROLE: Senior Software Development Engineer

EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 3+ Years

WORK LOCATION: Mumbai/ Bangalore/ Trivandrum (Hybrid)

What you will do:

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer to contribute to the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of cloud-native applications built on AWS. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in modern frontend development with Next.js/Express.js and TypeScript, backend development using Python, and serverless application development on AWS.

The role involves developing new application features, enhancing existing functionality, implementing scalable backend services, and collaborating closely with architects, DevOps engineers, data engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. You will:

• Develop and maintain frontend applications using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.

• Develop backend services using Python and serverless AWS technologies.

• Design and implement AWS Lambda functions to support application business logic.

• Develop and orchestrate workflows using AWS Step Functions.

• Design, develop, and maintain Amazon AppSync GraphQL schemas and resolvers.

• Implement and enhance multi-tenancy logic across application services.

• Build reusable, scalable, and responsive frontend components.

• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and cloud services.

• Participate in application architecture discussions and technical design reviews.

• Debug production issues and provide timely resolutions.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Follow coding standards, security best practices, and cloud-native development principles.

• Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

Frontend Development

• Strong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript

• Hands-on experience with Next.js/Express.js

• Strong proficiency in React.js

• Experience with Redux (or equivalent state management libraries)

• Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and Material UI

• Experience building reusable and responsive frontend components

Backend Development

• Strong Python development experience

• Experience with Python web frameworks such as:

  • FastAPI

  • Flask

• Experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services

AWS & Cloud Development

• Hands-on experience developing serverless applications using AWS services including:

  • AWS Lambda

  • AWS dynamodb

  • AWS Step Functions

  • Amazon API Gateway

  • Amazon AppSync

  • Amazon SQS

  • Amazon SNS

  • Amazon S3

  • Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL

  • AWS Glue (Python Shell)

• Experience deploying and maintaining cloud-native applications on AWS

Collaboration

• Ability to work effectively with:

Other Qualifications (OQs):

• Experience with AWS CDK

• Exposure to microservices architecture

• Knowledge of caching, queuing, and application performance optimization

• Exposure to application security best practices and AWS Well-Architected Framework

• Experience working on data-intensive applications

• Experience in effort estimation, documentation, and sprint planning

• Experience building highly scalable and high-performance cloud applications

Key Responsibilities:

• Priority task: Implement new enhancements and features for Business users to make corrections directly from the Web Portal for declaration data.

• Develop, and implement new features and functionalities across web portal and internal systems, including frontend enhancements, form creation, dynamic content display, etc.

• Manage databases to ensure data integrity and validation. 

• Establish and maintain robust data linkages, update database schemas, and ensure accurate data flow between various systems.

• Perform Unit testing on the implemented solutions.

• Execute required aesthetic changes and update navigations.

• Maintain existing code, contribute to documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
