About your team

The Storage & Backup function within the EIS (Enterprise Infrastructure Services) Technology. It provides Storage and Backup services to the Fidelity International business, globally. These include On-prem SAN storage solutions, NAS Storage Solutions, Object storage solutions and Backup Solutions. In the meanwhile, the relevant platform Capacity management, Lifecycle management, Vulnerability management, Monitoring management as well as the Hardware issue management are all covered by Storage & Backup team.

The main technology components used within the team to provide these services are as follows:

• UNIX & Windows system
• Azure cloud & AWS cloud services (VM/EC2; Security Group; EBS; Firewall; KMS; S3 etc)
• Dell PowerMax/Vmax/Isilon
• Netapp Storage
• CyberArk system
• Terraform, Python, Perl, PowerShell, Linux Shell

About your role
As a Technical Analyst of the Enterprise Infrastructure Services team, you will support daily operations of enterprise storage platforms. This role focuses on Storage technologies such as Dell EMC PowerMax/Vmax, NetApp, and Isilon (PowerScale). You will work closely with senior engineers and global teams to assist in maintaining stable storage services and gain hands-on experience in enterprise infrastructure. This position is suitable for candidates with basic technical knowledge, good communication skills, and a strong willingness to learn and grow in storage and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operations of enterprise storage platforms (PowerMax/Vmax, NetApp, Isilon)
• Support basic BAU activities such as service requests, incident handling, and routine checks
• Monitor system health and escalate issues to senior engineers when needed
• Follow standard processes and procedures to ensure service quality and stability
• Work with global teams to support ongoing operational tasks and small projects
• Maintain and update documentation and knowledge base
• Participate in on-call rotation and support scheduled maintenance activities
• Work in UK shift coverage (12:30 - 21:30 India Time)

About you

Essential skills and experience

• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and storage concepts (SAN/NAS)
• Exposure to enterprise storage concepts or platforms (e.g., Dell EMC PowerMax/Vmax, NetApp, Isilon)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP)
• Basic Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux systems
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, Shell, or PowerShell)
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new technologies
• Proactive attitude with a strong sense of responsibility
• Interest in developing a career in enterprise storage technologies
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment

Desirable skills

• Knowledge or experience in MS Azure or Amazon AWS cloud support
• Knowledge of version control tools such as GitHub
• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform)
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira
