FIRE FIGHTING SUPERVISOR

Fire Fighting Supervisor – Job RoleA Fire Fighting Supervisor is responsible for supervising the installation, maintenance, testing, and operation of fire-fighting and fire-protection systems at project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise installation of fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire alarm, fire pump, and fire suppression systems.
2. Monitor daily work activities of technicians, electricians, welders, and helpers.
3. Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and safety standards.
4. Inspect fire-fighting equipment, pipelines, valves, pumps, hydrants, sprinklers, and alarm systems.
5. Conduct testing and commissioning of fire-fighting systems.
6. Identify faults and coordinate necessary repair and rectification work.
7. Maintain daily work progress reports, inspection reports, testing records, and material records.
8. Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, and site representatives.
9. Ensure proper use of PPE and compliance with site safety procedures.
10. Check material quality and ensure proper utilization of materials at site.
11. Supervise pressure testing, flushing, pump testing, alarm testing, and system demonstrations.
12. Guide technicians and workers regarding proper installation and maintenance procedures.
13. Report work progress, site issues, manpower requirements, and material requirements to the Project Engineer/Manager.
14. Ensure timely completion of assigned work as per project schedule.
15. Support fire safety inspections, audits, and handover documentation.

Preferred Qualifications: ITI/Diploma in Fire & Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field, with relevant experience in fire-fighting system installation and maintenance.
