KRAs

Ø Responsible for all aspects of , Manufacture, Maintenance, Development and Testing  

·        Achieving Tool manufacturing plan within budgeted norms and adherence to process.

·        Manufactured Moulds should be first time right.

·        Achieve Zero defect - Reduction of rejections (machining rejections / COPQ)

·        Enhance OEE Performance. (Preventive and Breakdown maintenance).

·        New Projects

·        Training to personnel for improving Functional / Soft skills.

·        Tooling MIS

·        Manpower Management (Motivation, engagement and Tool Room discipline).

Drive 5 S, Safety, Continuous Improvement and other Process Improvement activities. .

Roles & Responsibilities:

MOULD MANUFACTURING

1. Execute the manufacturing plan and achieve the targeted output on a daily basis. Monitor Tool output periodically to ensure on time availability for uninterrupted production.

2. Ensure 100% adherence without deviations to IATF standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

3. Negotiate and coordinate with machining supplier, and child part vendors for timely delivery.

4. To Ensure all standards of Safety, 3 C, 5 S and Health are implemented to maintain an Accident free plant and improve Tool quality and accuracy.

5. To continuously monitor and control raw material consumption, deployment / allocation of manpower, energy consumption is within norms. To ensure manufacturing costs are within budget.

6. To continuously analyze the current manufacturing processes and procedures and implement improvements.

7. Develop capability and Technical knowhow to continuously enhance existing Tool designs and develop new ones.

MOULD QUALITY

1. Achieve target of Zero Quality Defect.

a. Machining Rejection – avoid errors during machining and assembly

b. Maintain moulds with proper lubrication and should be rust free until the mould life.

MAN MANAGEMENT

1. Responsible for Tool room discipline.

2. Constantly motivate staff and improve engagement levels in coordination with HR.

3. Inculcate a performance driven culture including giving feedback.

4. Improve Employee Productivity levels.

5. Conduct daily meetings

TRAINING

1. Identify Training needs for the Department staff.

2. Organize / Conduct with the help of External / Internal resource, training on all aspects of their jobs including soft / behavioral skills, Problem solving skills, Technical / Functional skills etc.

NEW PROJECT

1. Conduct feasibility study

2. Conceptualize Tool Design.

3. Prepare costing sheet for manufacturing Tool as per design.

4. Provide Technical support to NPD for preparation of quote, negotiations and for successful conclusion of agreement.

5. Prepare M&M and DFM based on drawings and support NPD to obtain customer sign off.

6. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders for trials, material supply, pre-production samples and obtain necessary approvals.

7. Prepare and implement plan for Tool development, Tool manufacture and Tool supply.

8. Maintain complete documentation separately for each project.

OTHER COMPANY INITIATIVES

1. To actively participate and contribute to various companywide initiatives and programs such as Suggestion Scheme, SKS, 5 S, Safety, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement activities, cost reduction programs etc.

2. Any other works / assignments / Projects assigned from time to time.
