Dental Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist chairside during various procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and other dental treatments.
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and materials before and after procedures.
• Ensure patients are comfortably seated and informed about the procedure steps.
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed.
• Manage infection control protocols, including disinfecting equipment and work areas.
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with updating charts.
• Mix dental materials such as impression materials, cements, and filling materials.
• Provide post-operative instructions to patients as directed by the dentist.
• Stock and maintain dental supplies in operatory and sterilization areas.
• Support front-desk operations when needed (scheduling, answering calls, etc.).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting preferred.
• Prior experience in a dental setting is a plus but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, terminology, and sterilization protocols.
