Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Section management: Run a designated kitchen station.
  • Food preparation: Prep and cook dishes to exact recipe standards.
  • Quality control: Check food presentation and portion sizes before service.
  • Staff supervision: Train and guide junior cooks and assistants.
  • Safety and hygiene: Keep the workspace clean and follow food safety rules.

Requirements and Skills

  • Culinary experience: Usually 1 to 3 years of commercial kitchen experience.
  • Education: High school diploma or a formal culinary school certificate.
  • Working under pressure: Ability to stay calm and fast during busy rush hours.
  • Communication: Good teamwork skills to coordinate with other stations and chefs.
