About Job

Nielsen Book Services is looking for experienced developers to help take our products and services to the next level. Our products include both global metadata and sales aggregation platforms. 

This role involves working within a Scaled Agile Framework environment to develop core products and services to support the book industry across multiple countries, including working with international standards such as ISBN and ONIX metadata. 

Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivery of solutions from requirements clarification through delivery and support 
• Investigating and solving problems with complex heterogeneous systems and microservices in hybrid environments 
• Reporting daily status and communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders 
• Tracking time accurately across different projects 

Qualifications

• A solid background in Java and popular associated frameworks, testing frameworks and relational databases is preferred. UI/UX and Cloud experience is desirable but not essential. 
• A curious, problem-solving attitude 
• As part of a global solutions team, you need excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing, to ensure that collaboration with others is clear and the solutions delivered are truly fit-for-purpose.
