SENIOR WAREHOUSE MANAGER – 3PL

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and results-oriented Senior Warehouse Manager – 3PL to lead and oversee end-to-end warehouse operations across multiple locations in North India.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in 3PL operations, FMCG, Pharma, Cold Chain or similar industries, with proven expertise in managing large teams, multiple warehouses, client relationships, inventory, productivity, quality, compliance and operational costs.

The candidate should be a strong operational leader with a data-driven, technology-oriented and continuous-improvement mindset, capable of driving service excellence, cost optimization and profitable warehouse operations.

Experience & Qualification

• 10+ years of relevant experience in 3PL / Warehouse / Logistics Operations.
• Proven experience in managing multiple warehouses across North India.
• Strong industry experience in 3PL, FMCG, Pharma, Cold Chain or similar sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, high-volume warehouse operations and teams.
• Graduate/MBA/PGDM in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management or a related field preferred.
• Experience in handling multiple clients, warehouses and operational locations simultaneously will be highly valuable.

• Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations

• Lead and manage complete inbound, receiving, put-away, storage, inventory, picking, packing, dispatch and reverse logistics operations.
• Ensure smooth and efficient functioning of multiple warehouses across North India.
• Establish and maintain consistent operational standards across all warehouse locations.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, space, equipment and other operational resources.
• Monitor daily operations and ensure timely resolution of operational bottlenecks.

2. 3PL & Client Management.

• Manage key 3PL client relationships and act as the senior operational point of contact.
• Conduct regular client reviews, performance discussions and operational meetings.
• Ensure adherence to agreed SLAs, KPIs, service levels and contractual commitments.
• Handle client escalations effectively and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with clients and identify opportunities for service improvement and business growth.

3. Manpower & Leaderships

• Lead and develop warehouse managers, supervisors, team leaders, contract labour and operational teams.
• Plan manpower requirements based on workload, volume and business requirements.
• Drive manpower productivity, accountability and performance management.
• Build a disciplined, motivated and performance-oriented warehouse team.
• Identify training and development requirements for warehouse personnel.

4. Inventory & Quality Control

• Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy and stock integrity.
• Monitor cycle counts, physical verification, reconciliation and inventory variance.
• Control shrinkage, damages, losses, mis-picks and operational errors.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of FMCG, Pharma, temperature-sensitive and other specialized products, wherever applicable.
• Drive quality improvement and ensure adherence to defined operational standards.

5. KPI, MIS & Performance Management

• Monitor and analyze key warehouse performance indicators on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure achievement of productivity, SLA, inventory accuracy, dispatch accuracy and service-level targets.
• Review operational MIS and identify trends, gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Present management reports, performance dashboards and action plans to senior management.
• Establish corrective and preventive actions for recurring operational issues.

6. Cost & Productivity Management

• Drive warehouse cost optimization and operational efficiency.
• Control manpower, handling, storage, utilities, equipment and other operating costs.
• Identify opportunities for space optimization, process automation and productivity improvement.
• Improve warehouse throughput while maintaining service quality.
• Support management in developing and monitoring warehouse budgets and operating costs.

7. SOP, Process Improvement & Automation

• Develop, implement and continuously improve warehouse SOPs, workflows and operating processes.
• Identify process gaps and implement corrective measures.
• Drive lean, automation and technology-enabled improvements wherever commercially viable.
• Promote standardization of processes across multiple warehouse locations.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

8. Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory, safety, quality, client and company requirements.
• Maintain high standards of warehouse safety, housekeeping and security.
• Ensure proper documentation, audit readiness and adherence to internal and client requirements.
• Identify operational risks and implement appropriate preventive and corrective measures.

9. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate effectively with Transport, HR, Finance, Sales, Procurement, IT and other departments.
• Ensure smooth integration between warehouse and transportation operations.
• Support business teams during new client onboarding, warehouse setup, process transitions and operational expansions.

Must-Have Skills & Competencies

• Strong and proven 3PL Warehouse Operations experience.
• Proven experience in managing multiple warehouses across North India.
• Excellent leadership, team management and people-development skills.
• Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent understanding of warehouse processes, inventory management and operational controls.
• Strong knowledge of SLA management, KPI monitoring, productivity improvement and cost control.
• Proficiency in WMS/ERP, MS Excel, MIS and operational reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to manage large teams, multiple locations, multiple clients and high-volume operations.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong data-driven and commercially oriented approach to operational decision-making.

AI & Digital Working Skills

• Good practical working knowledge of AI tools and applications for professional and operational work.
• Ability to leverage AI for MIS/reporting, data analysis, report preparation, documentation, business communication, process improvement, productivity enhancement and decision-making.
• The ability to use AI as a productivity and problem-solving tool, while applying appropriate professional judgement and verifying outputs.

Added Advantage

• Chat GPT & Claude Hands-on working knowledge of Chat GPT and Claude will be considered a significant added advantage.
