QA / QC Executive

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all plastic products manufactured through injection moulding meet defined quality standards, customer specifications, drawings, and internal quality requirements, while controlling rejection and maintaining proper quality records.

Key Responsibilities

• In-Process Inspection-
• Inspect products during injection moulding production.
• Check dimensions, weight, appearance, colour, surface finish, flash, short moulding, sink marks, warpage, burn marks, black spots, etc.
• Ensure production is running as per approved samples, drawings and specifications.
• Conduct first-piece inspection after machine/mould setup and whenever parameters are changed.
• Monitor quality at regular intervals during production.

• Pre-Dispatch Inspection-
• Conduct final inspection before dispatch.
• Verify quantity, product quality, dimensions, colour and packaging.
• Ensure products conform to customer specifications and approved samples.
• Maintain pre-dispatch inspection records.

• Rejection Control-
• Monitor daily rejection quantity and rejection percentage.
• Identify major reasons for rejection.
• Maintain machine-wise, mould-wise and product-wise rejection reports.
• Coordinate with Production to identify root causes and reduce rejection.
• Follow up on corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.

• Quality Reports & Documentation-

• Maintain daily quality inspection reports.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly rejection reports.
• Maintain first-piece inspection records.
• Maintain in-process inspection records.
• Maintain pre-dispatch inspection reports.
• Maintain customer complaint and corrective-action records.
• Keep records of approved samples, drawings and quality standards.

• Production Quality Monitoring-
• Check critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, cycle time, cooling time, etc., wherever applicable.
• Ensure operators follow approved production and quality procedures.
• Immediately report recurring quality problems to the Production/Management team.

• Customer Complaint & Corrective Action-
• Investigate quality complaints received from customers.
• Identify root cause with Production and other departments.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain proper complaint and CAPA records.

• Final Quality Clearance-
• Give quality clearance for finished products before packing/dispatch.
• Stop or hold production/material when serious quality deviations are identified.
• Ensure rejected or non-conforming material is properly identified and segregated.
