Job Description

Job Title: Commis 1 Chef

We are looking for a Commis 1 Chef to support daily kitchen operations at our café. The candidate should have basic kitchen experience, be disciplined, and be able to follow recipes and hygiene standards properly.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items as per café recipes and standards
  • Handle prep work, cooking, plating, and basic kitchen setup
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety in the kitchen
  • Check stock levels and inform seniors about shortages
  • Support the chef during busy service hours
  • Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation
  • Properly store ingredients and reduce wastage

Requirements:

  • Prior café/restaurant kitchen experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene
  • Ability to work quickly and follow instructions
  • Punctual, clean, and responsible
  • Should be comfortable with sandwiches, pasta, eggs, fries, and basic café food
